The Central Board of Secondary Education on Friday (May 14) dismissed reports  stated that the board is likely to cancel the Class 12 CBSE board examinations 2021. The board stated today that it has not taken any decision yet on class 12 board exams even as a section of students and parents have been demanding cancellation of exams in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
 

 

 
It is clarified that no such decision cancellation of exams has been taken regarding class 12 board examination, as being speculated. Any decision taken in this matter will be officially communicated to the public,” a senior CBSE official told PTI. The official was responding to a question about possibility of cancellation of class 12 board exams following demands by section of students and parents who have expressed concern over the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
 
The authority of CBSE said that no such decision has been taken that 12 board exams be cancelled. 
This type of news has come about the 10th class that the 10th board exam has been cancelled. CBSE authority had said to cancel the 10th board exam on April 14. This decision was taken under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister.
 
growing demand for cancellation of Class 12 Board exams 2021 in the growth of coronavirus  across the country, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will hold a crucial meeting on May 17. According to report that Nishank might take a final call regarding the conduction of class 12 boards after interacting with education secretaries of all states on Monday. In the virtual meeting, the minister will review the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education sector. Besides, he will also discuss the promotion of online education and the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP).
“Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will meet virtually all state education secretaries on Monday. The top agenda of the meeting will be COVID -19 pandemic and its impact on education, promotion of online education, implementation of the New Education policy and preparation made by states,” education ministry sources told ANI.
