Union education minister holds meeting with state education secretaries for class XII board exam. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank holds a meeting with state education secretaries in virtual mode while reviewing covid-19. The main agenda of this meeting is to review the new education policy on the subject of online education and to decide whether to postpone or cancel the 12th board examination. It is also anticipated that the Education Minister will discuss conducting the 12th board examination. Students from all over the country are demanding that the exam be canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic and no decision has been taken yet.
– Pokhriyal said that the Government is committed to ensure the safety and academic welfare of students.
– Pokhriyal in the meeting stated that despite the pandemic, the Centre and the states, as well as agencies like the National Testing Agency (NTA), have managed to deliver education online as well as conduct public exams such as JEE and NEET-UG.
Many students tweeted Prime Minister Modi ji that 12th examination should be canceled. The CBSE has canceled the examinations of class X due to the increasing impact of the covid-19 epidemic and did not take any decision regarding class 12 exams. This decision has been postponed till June as per the situation. According to sources, the next decision will be taken keeping a close watch till the month of June. Students will have to wait until the next update from the Ministry of Education. CBSE has also issued an alternative evaluation plan and marking policy for class X.
There was a lot of rumours about last week that the 12th exam has been canceled. But the educational authorities made it clear that no decision has been taken regarding the 12th exam yet. The public will be informed as soon as a decision is made about this. The petition for cancellation of CBSE 12th board examination has been issued in the Supreme Court.
